Heads down, Tails up!
More progress...today is the first day Mama Mia walks around the garden with her tail up all the time. Apologies for her head being blurred - she's the one in front. Mama Mia has yet to hone her modeling skills.
Yesterday was bath day and thanks to my wonderful neighbour we managed it. They were shampooed in two different products, each left on for 5 minutes and today Mia's skin is so much calmer - less red, less inflamed. Mistral doesn't have anything like the skin problems of Mia. Next bath on Monday.
I walked up the track to the mailbox just now and shut the front door with a key as if I were going out for a while - just a test. I was away perhaps 7 or 8 minutes and when I got back, much barking and howling was going on and papers pulled off the kitchen counter. Next time I leave, I'll go for a little longer and slowly they'll realise I'm not abandoning them. Mind you, I've a feeling they might be enjoying the chance to get into what they shouldn't...

It's nice to know they've got the energy to get into trouble..
Lovely photos, Jilly, especially the last one.
Uh Oh! They have become mischevious PETS already! HA Great to see them out exploring in your yard. Looking Outward is still my favorite photo. Glad things are going well.

Mistral and Mia deserve the chance to be regular dogs and "get into trouble". I hope they're tolerating they're baths. I imagine you're using something with aloe or colloidal oatmeal and I'm sure it's very soothing. Anyway, it sounds good to me! They're lovely looking dogs, when they fill out I believe they'll look beautiful. Thanks for the update, Jilly.
Quick and happy progress! If they were ever hunting dogs it must have been long ago; a hunting dog must have the use of its leg muscles, no?
I'm enjoying this happy story.
Tails up and noses down - bravo! These are two happy dogs Jilly. Day by day it gets better and I guess Monday is their "spa day or Day of Beauty " - thats what we call bath day here - tres glamour and those two girls need a bit of glamour in their lives!
Kisses from Rosie and Oscar , Woof!
How nice they are adjusting. I didn't think about what leaving them alone would be like. I hope they figure it out quickly!
You are an angel for these poor dogs, Jilly. I'll look forward to watching their progress in the next few months.
Glad to see they're coming along so nicely. Really enjoy following this story and look forward to more.
I agree with the others, Jilly. A really good story to follow along with. I love the images where they are sniffing everything. I can hear the indrawn breath as I type ...
Hi, it's so lovely to see these two improving daily, you really are an angel.
Ha! Just saw the followers gadget..
Have a good day.
